Anew Osaka imported Curry House has made it’s way to HK, found under the roof of Tsim Sha Tsui’s Sogo Department store. Thanks to my dear informant Miss C who notified me of it’s existence. Izumi Curry from Osaka is a beef curry specialist. The original menu in Osaka has a lot more beef offerings including various parts of Cow innards all the way down to Scotch Eggs curry. The Hong Kong’s 1st outlet is a smaller cousin of the original, but we were already saying and can foresee that it will open more shops soon in Hong Kong, probably in CWB 皇室堡 next as a next logical step hehe!

Beef Entrails Curry with extra Pork Tonkatsu
Beef intestinal entrails were cooked in a curry sauce and of excellent quality, one of the best to be found in Hong Kong or even Japan itself. To die for and addictive. This would have been a perfect dish, if not for the invisible Pork Tonkatsu which managed to camouflage itself under the totally dark curry sauce. Order Fried Items to be served separately here! The display photo might show that the fried tonkatsu is only half covered in sauce but in the end it was doused completely in the curry sauce and soggy. Not sure whether this is how it is meant to be presented here indeed !
Beef Entrails Curry ~ 9/10,
Tonkatsu ~ 3/10
トロトロオムカリ ー ハンバーグ
Omelette eggs and Hamburg with a curry sauce, a rather typical combination and the burger patty was perhaps a little lean and dense, but quite substantial in quantity and beefy. The omelette add on was decently cooked ~ 6.9/10
Price: HKD $60 to 80
